Taking depositions of experts is an art that can be learned.IMPORTANT.  EX0804 Deposition Cross-Exam of Expert Witness and EX0709 Expert Opinion Admissibility Checklist are two aspects of taking and defending expert testimony in depositions or trials.  You probably want both forms.

EX0804 Deposition Cross-Exam of Expert Witness is what you want if you are looking for a checklist to use in taking the deposition of the adverse expert. It also is the single best checklist you can have for discussing with your own expert the questions to expect at a deposition and thus preparing your own expert to stand up to cross examination.

EX0709 Expert Opinion Admissibility Checklist is what you want if you are looking for a checklist to use in preparing to have the trial court admit your expert's testimony, or exclude the adverse expert's opinion as not reliable.

Experts are important in trials.  They may be a medical doctor or a doctor of electrical engineering, or the mechanic that worked on a car. You want to handle them well.  That's what excellent trial lawyers are supposed to do: handle experts better than the run-of-the mill attorneys can do.  If you have an expert witness in your case, you should use expert checklists and forms to stay ahead of the opposition.  Check our forms by using the links below
